Uses
It is good for charcoal and fuel wood. Bark and leaves contain of tannin which is used for making skins.
Description
Deciduous trees, upto 25m tall. Bark smooth, white and peeling. Leaves simple, opposite, sometimes upper leaves alternate; elliptic, glabrous, white velvety beneath, base acute, apex acute to acuminate, margin entire. Inflorescence a terminal or axillary panicle. Flowers bisexual, 5-6 mm across, white, clawed. Fruit a capsule, ellipsoid, woody, 4-6 valved, dehiscent. Seeds many, winged.
