Uses

Description

Semi-deciduous or small tree, up to 15 m. Leaves 1-5-foliolate, the leaflets elliptic to elliptic-oblong, obtuse, basally rounded, chartaceous, lepidote. Inflorescence a few-flowered terminal panicle, often reduced to one or 2 flowers. Flowers bisexual, pinkish- lavender to almost white, the throat opening yellow, tubular. Fruit a capsule, linear-cylindric, attenuate at both ends, seeds bialate, the wings hyaline-membranaceous, sharply demarcated from the seed body.
