Description

Evergreen tree, 7-20 tall, usually multibranched at the base. Leaves opposite, trifoliate; leaflets elliptic to elliptic-rhomboid, membranous, base attenuate, apex acute to accuminate. Inflorescence a fascicle of 2 to 3 flowers or solitary, cauliflorous. Flowers bisexual, tubular, white to greenish-white. Fruit a berry, waxy, yellow when ripe, linear oblong, fruits surrounding a fibrous column and fleshy part surrounding the seeds. Seeds small with thin, narrow and mucilaginous wing.
