Description

Evergreen tree, growing up to 20 m tall. Leaves paripinnate, alternate, 8-26 leaflets; leaflets elliptic or oblong, with elongated apex. Young leaves pendant, reddish-brown. Inflorescence is a terminal panicle or head. Flowers bisexual, pink or red. Fruit a woody pod, covered in brown velvety hairs containing up to 5 seeds.
