Uses

The leaves are emollient. They are used in the treatment of bronchitis, coughs, fevesr and influenza. Description

Shrubs or small trees, up to 8 m tall. Brachlets pubescent. Leaves simple, alternate, coriaceous, pubescent on the underisde, base rounded, apex acute, margin entire to undulate. Inflorescence in terminal cymose panicles. Flowers bisexual, vermillon coloured. Fruit a drupe, ovoid, hard, white when ripe, fleshy, 1-4 seeded.
