Uses
In Ayurveda, the fruits are reported to be astringent and cooling. They are recommended in the treatment of inflammations and febrile complaints. The seeds are said to be useful in the treatment of painful micturition
Description
Small to medium-sized tree, up to 10 m. Leaves imparipinnate, alternate, estipulate, leaflets elliptic, elliptic-obovate, lanceolate or oblanceolate, base oblique, acute or attenuate, apex acute, acuminate or caudate-acuminate, margin entire. Flowers polygamodioecious, yellow in axillary branching panicles. Fruit a berry, globose, buff coloured; seeds 1-2.
